My name is Christina Nickson, but who am I?
I’m public relations and communications professional with a passion for helping organizations tell their stories through strategic, creative content. Whether I’m developing social media campaigns, designing graphics, or coordinating across teams, I bring a thoughtful and hands-on approach to every project.
Currently, I’m a social media intern with the Rotary Club of Lansing, where I manage content calendars, create digital posts, and help align messaging across committees. I also work with the Capital Area Transportation Authority as a digital marketing intern, writing blog and social content, supporting events, and making sure riders have accurate, timely information.
Previously, I managed social media and events for American Fifth Spirits, where I designed promotions, captured visual content, and organized experiences like cocktail classes and live music nights. I also interned with Small Talk Child Advocacy Center, creating content that helped raise awareness and support for their mission.
I earned my degree in journalism with a concentration in public relations from Central Michigan University. I’m especially interested in how clear, creative communication can build strong relationships and make a meaningful impact.
Outside of work, I enjoy drawing, painting, embroidery and making flower arrangements. Creativity is a big part of who I am—whether I’m telling a story online or putting together something beautiful by hand.
Thanks for visiting my portfolio. I’m always open to new connections and opportunities—feel free to reach out!
